No shortage of petrol in the country: Petroleum Ministry spokesman

SUNDAY: There is no shortage of petrol in the country says a spokesman of Petroleum Ministry in a statement issued on Sunday.

The spokesperson said 14728 metric tons of petrol was supplied to the petrol pumps by after noon on Sunday.

He said average consumption of the petrol in the country is twelve thousand metric tons daily adding that oil companies have stock of ninety thousand metric tons of petrol.

 

The spokesman further added that thirty two metric ton of additional petrol is being off-loaded at Karachi Seaport. He said eleven more ships carrying three hundred fifty thousand metric tons of petrol will reach Pakistan during this month.

He said demand and supply of the commodity is being monitored round the clock.
