World bank approves 50 million dollar loan for Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: World Bank on Thursday issued press release stating that it has approved loan for Pakistan Southern province Sindh.

The statement said that the bank has approved 50 million dollar loan for the South Asian country. The bank has approved loan to improve economic conditions of Sindh.

According to an announcement by the bank, the board of executive directors of the World Bank approved Sindh Governance Project.

Under the project, the bank approved to lend 50 million dollar with a maturity period of 25 years and a grace period of five years.

“The objective is to strengthen the public sector performance in the Province of Sindh through improved revenue generation and expenditure management,” the World Bank said in a statement.
