Chaudhry Mohmmad Sarwar to hold press conference

LAHORE: Former governor Punjab Chudhry Muhmmad Sarwar will hold press conference on Thursday evening, local media reported.

The former governor has resigned from his post on Thursday after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif took notice of his statement against the government.

It is pertinent to mention here that the former governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar in his statement on Tuesday had said US President Barack Obama’s visit to India and ignoring Pakistan was nothing but our failure at the diplomatic front.

Talking to the media during his visit to Lahore Museum, the governor had said Obama must use his influence to ease tension at Pak-India borders. However, he added, the Obama decision not to visit Pakistan, a country which has faced the greatest loss in the war against terrorism, reflected our failure at diplomatic level.

Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar also had appeared in much talked about ‘London Plan’ with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Dr Tahir Ul Qadri and along with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan.

He also openly criticized law and order situation of Punjab and had said that overseas Pakistanis have been deprived of their properties in Pakistan on gunpoint in Punjab.
