‘Go Nawaz GO’ slogans echo in PIA plane as Minister delayed flight

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Mohammad Yousuf invited passengers’ wrath for reportedly causing a PIA flight PK-741 delay on Monday due to late arrival.

According to local media reports, the flight was scheduled to depart from Islamabad to Jeddah but there was a delay of about 30 minutes.

Later it was emerged that the flight was delayed for the religious affairs minister, who came about 30 minutes late to the airport.

The angry passengers protested at the airport lounge raising ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogans.

Though the minister reportedly apologized to the protesting passengers,  but  they ontinued with their protests which further delayed the flight. The take-off was subsequently delayed by an hour.

Last year in September, former interior minister Rehman Malik and Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) MNA Dr Ramesh Kumar Wakwani had sparked outrage over the delay of PIA’s flight PK-370. The two were accused of holding the plane back while other passengers waited for hour.
