KARACHI: Renown anchorperson Gharida Farooqi has left Samma TV and join hands with Express News.
Gharida Farooqi will present the same services at Express News as she was offering in Samaa TV. She is appointed as Senior Anchor Current Affairs and Special Correspondent.
According to sources, Gharida had some issues with the management of Samaa TV on not letting her host a permanent talk show which made her take this decision of parting ways with Samaa.
However, she has denied such reports saying that Samaa management did not want her to leave and that they offered her a talk show but she refused. She further acknowledged Samaa TV’s assistance and support to date.
It is expected that her talk show on Express News will be on-aired in a few weeks.
