Pakistan to hold events in Washington to highlight creative arts: Jilani

WASHINGTON: Pakistan Ambassador Jalil Abbas Jilani has said that the country mission in United States (US) has  plans to hold a series of events in Washington to highlight its contemporary achievements in creative arts.

 
The ambassador was speaking at an exhibition of works of Pakistani artist Sabah Husain in Washington.

He said Pakistan has a rich cultural heritage and has been the home to some of prominent ancient civilizations.

 

He said the embassy would be holding exhibitions of different artists and celebrate a Pakistan Week in July.
The Ambassador said Pakistani artists, Ghazal singers, and painters would be encouraged to introduce their works in the United States.
