MUMBAI: Bollywood’s silent hits of 2014 including Kangana Ranaut’s Queen and Alia Bhatt-Arjun Kapoor starer 2 States have topped in nominations in the upcoming 60th Filmfare Awards.
The two movies leave behind big-budget flicks of B-Town Khans like “PK”, “Happy New Year” and “Kick” as 2 States has been nominated for seven different categories while Queen on second with five nominations.
According to report, 2 States nominated in Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male), Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Female), Best Music and Best Playback Singer (Male).
On the other hand, Queen is nominated for categories including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female), Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Female) and Best Music.
“Mary Kom”, “Haider” and “PK” were also nominated for Best Film category apart from 2 States and Queen.
Filmfare.com has put up the complete nomination list on the web, while the awards ceremony will be organised on Jan 31 in Mumbai.
