LAUSANNE: International Hockey Federation (FIH) has issued updated ranking list for hockey playing countries and Pakistan got promoted to one level after better performance in Champions Trophy Hockey.
According to the ranking Pakistan has included in top ten lists as Pakistan gets 10th position in the list.
Spain lost his position in top ten lists and degraded to 11th position.
Before champions trophy Pakistan had stood on 11th position. Pakistan had reached to semi final of the tournament against India but it had lost the match.
Australia is on top of the list followed by Netherland and Germany got third position.
England, Belgium and Argentina secured 4th, 5th and 6th position respectively.
New Zealand stood on 7th, Korea on 8th and before Pakistan India on 9th position.
The FIH World Ranking is updated after any major international events — approximately 3-4 times per year.
