KARACHI: Petrol crisis has reached to Karachi as many as 30 percent of petrol pumps in mega city closed.
Petrol dealers said that they closed pumps due to end of petrol stock at the pumps.
Clifton, Defence, New Karachi, Liaqutabad, old city areas, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Nazimabad, North Karachi, Orangi Town, Surjani, Lyari, are the areas in the city where pumps have closed.
On the other hand spokesman for Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has said that there is no any chance of petrol shortage in the city.
Long queues have been witnessed at petrol pumps which are opened.
It is pertinent to mention here that cities of Punjab have been facing petrol crisis for one week.
Petrol shortage also reported in other cities of Sindh.
The petrol dealers also said that due petrol shortage rumors people of the city are buying petrol in bulk or unnecessary which created closure of petrol pumps in the city.
They also said that people should not heed to rumors.
