PM suspends four top officials over petrol shortage

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has taken notice of petrol crisis in the country and ordered suspension of four government officials stating to be involved in petrol crisis.

The PM has suspended secretary petroleum Abid Saeed, additional secretary petroleum Naeem Malik, Director General (DG) Oil and Managing Director (MD) Pakistan State Oil (PSO) Amjad Janjua.

The PM did not take action against petroleum Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbassi.

Cities of Punjab have remained deprived of petrol for four days. The government had to open CNG stations on Saturday (today) due to shortage of petrol.
