ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday said insult of sacred personalities will not be tolerated.
The Interior Minister was talking to media after a meeting that discussed the national action plan in Islamabad.
The Minister said that a farce was being staged in the name of freedom of expression.
Nisar said that Parliament has approved a condemnation resolution against publication of blasphemous caricatures and the government in strong words has condemned the action.
Pope Francis deserved applause for his remarks on the blasphemous caricatures, the Minister added.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pope Francis has condemned the western media on the blasphemous caricatures.
Pope Francis said there were limits to freedom of speech, especially when it insults or ridicules someone’s faith.
