Two more convicts executed in Karachi, Lahore

KARACHI: Two more convicts were executed on Thursday in Karachi and Lahore, local media reported.

According to details, Muhammad Saeed and Zahid Hussain were hanged to death in Karachi and Lahore respectively.

Mohammad Saeed was sentenced to death in April 2001 for murdering retired deputy superintendent of police Syed Sabir Hussain Shah and his young son Syed Abid Hussain Shah in an ambush near the Malir City railway crossing.

The other convict, Zahid Hussain was executed for killing three people including two police personnel.

Zahid Hussain was hanged in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Jail after his mercy plea was rejected by President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain.
