‘Rift between political parties, govt can affect anti-terror war’

ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah, supporting the Bilawal Bhutto’s stance over establishment military courts has said that “we have saved our face (Pakistan) by get cutting our nose.

Talking to media in Islamabad, on Wednesday Shah said that sit-in protests by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief would weaken the country and rift between PTI, political parties and the government will affect ongoing anti-terrorism operations.

During the All Parties Conference held in PM house, Imran Khan himself vowed to stand by the government in this difficult time, he said adding that Imran should strengthen the country instead of strengthening the government. If Imran can go to PM house than why he does not come the Parliament, Shah said.

Criticizing the government, Khurshid Shah said the country would face increased power outages in coming days due to failed government policies. He advised the prime minister to contact provincial chief ministers for implementation of the National Action Plan and reservations of provinces should be addressed.

PM and federal ministers should come in parliament, he said adding that strong Pakistan is needed to stop the do more demand of US. Opposition is not in favour of acceptance of PTI ‘s resignations because in past people had not came for years but they have not asked any word but now Imran should come in Parliament.
