ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Monday announced to organise ‘Dharna Convention’ on January 18 at D-Chowk Islamabad, the federal capital of Pakistan.
Imran Khan while addressing a press conference at his residence Bani Gala said that the political party will announce its next strategy at ‘Dharna Convention’ if the government failed to fulfill its promise to form ‘impartial’ judicial commission to probe alleged vote rigging in 2013 general election.
He claimed the commission to probe alleged vote rigging in NA-122 was not setup for recount but only to audit the votes. He alleged that Form 14, 15 was not present in 128 polling stations while serial numbers of 20 polling were printed wrong.
He said that the investigation report released by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has proved vote rigging in NA-122 constituency. He demanded the Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq to immediately resign from his post.
Imran Khan said that PTI would not put barricades in the anti-terrorism fight and the political party was ready to forward its recommendations against terrorism.
