ISLAMABAD: US Secretary of State John Kerry on Monday arrived here on a two-day official visit to Pakistan, during which he is expected to hold negotiations with both civilian and military leadership.
During the two-day meeting, Kerry will meet Pakistan’s political and military leadership and discuss bilateral relations and the regional security situation.
A senior official from the US desk of the Foreign Office along with senior protocol officers and senior US embassy diplomats received Kerry at Nur Khan airbase.
John Kerry will meet Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif later in the evening at the PM house.
On Tuesday, he will lead a US delegation in Pakistan-US strategic dialogue at the Foreign Ministry.
Later in the day he will meet with Army Chief General Raheel Sharif at GHQ and discuss security and defence cooperation between the two countries.
Kerry was unhurt on Monday in a minor traffic accident involving his motorcade in Delhi, his spokesperson Jen Psaki said.
