Asian teams will not play World Cup 2015 final: David Warner

CANBERRA: No Asian team will play the final of International Cricket Council (ICC) Word Cup 2015, says Australia’s star batsman David Warner.

According to David Warner, England or South Africa may play the final at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) against Australia.

He said that pitches which will be used in the mega event have pace and bounce both in Australia and New Zealand where Asian sides will face a lot of problems playing on those tracks.

Warner said that in Asia, pitches are slow and help the spinners while in Australia the tracks are full of pace and bounce which will benefit bowlers like Mitchel Johnson, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood.

South Africa and England have similar tracks, so their players will be able to play well in Australia, he said.

Their batsmen and bowlers also know the conditions here very well and that’s why they are favourite to face Australia in the final.
