MQM should review strike call for Monday: Sharjeel

KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon has said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) should review its decision regarding strike call for Monday adding that MQM’s 15 minutes deadline to CM was not appropriate.

The Minister added that on demand of the MQM Judicial commission formed and investigating officer who carried out investigation to its deceased worker Faraz Alam has been suspended.

He said that government wants to remove the MQM apprehensions adding that the government also has desire to address the issues with talks.

Sharjeel said that he has talked to the MQM leader Hyder Abbass Rizvi and Faisal Sabzwari while acting convener of the MQM’s coordination committee Qamar Mansoor did not receive his call.

It is pertinent to mention here that MQM staged sit-in outside the CM house carrying four bodies of its slain workers three of them found from Mochko area of Baldya Town and one was killed in police custody.

The MQM has alleged that other three also killed by intelligence police. The MQM announced day of mourning for Sunday (today) but not heed to the MQM demands now it has extended the mourning day for Monday (tomorrow).
