Horrific accident on National Highway link road 30 people burnt alive

KARACHI: A passenger bus caught fire  after head on collision with oil tanker on National Highway link road on Saturday-Sunday night and as many as 35 people burnt alive, Samaa News reported.

The report said that the ill-fated passenger bus was going to Shikarpur from Karachi that it was collided with the tanker.

The fire in the bus was so much intense that no one could get time to leave the bus.

Police said that bus boarded with 55 passengers including women and children.

It is feared that most of the passengers of the bus have burnt alive.

The bodies have been shifted to the Jinnah Hospital Karachi.

Eye witnesses said that only three passengers of the bus succeeded to came out of the bus.

People living near the road who rushed to the spot after accident alleged that fire brigade did not reach the spot on time.

Rescuers said that most of the bodies even not recognizable as they burnt severely.

Eyewitnesses also said that the accident took place due to oil tanker’s driver fault.

The bus was entirely damaged and burnt in the accident.

Governor Sindh Ishrat Ul Ebad has taken notice of the accident and ordered complete investigation into the accident. He also expressed grief over loss of human lives in the accident.

Information Minister Sindh Sharjeel Memon has also expressed grief over loss of many lives.

The minister has directed administrator Karachi and other concerned officials to reach on the accident spot.
