KARACHI: Security measures have been taken to ensure security of schools and educational institutes after the barbaric attack on Army Public School Peshawar and intelligence agencies have cautioned that communities-run schools face threats.
The intelligence sources said that communities-run welfare schools such as Agha Khan, Bohri and Shia might be targeted at any time by terrorists.
Following the intelligence agencies reports, instructions have been issued to the schools managements to ensure security arrangements at the schools.
It is pertinent to mention here that as many as 150 people were martyred including 134 children in the Army Public School attack on Dec 16 last year.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Punjab and Sindh extended winter vacations in wake of the Peshawar attack and schools in the provinces will be opened on January 12.
