KARACHI: At least seven persons including two police officials and a woman were killed in violent incidents across Karachi on Wednesday.
According to details, the two cops identified as Mohammad Hussain and Asghar were shot dead by unknown persons in the jurisdiction of Samanabad Police Station.
The slain police officers were posted at Samanabad Police Station and were killed in the line of duty. A 50 year old person named Zameen Gul was shot dead at Baldia Ittehad Town.
A body of an unidentified person was found from Kakri Ground in Lyari. The corpse was shifted to Civil Hospital for identification. Dead body of one person was recovered from Orangi town 13 number area of the city. According to police the dead body has signs of electrocution and was tied with ropes.
Feroza Bibi, 35, was found dead at Gabool Town in Orangi. One mutilated dead body was recovered in Bhains Colony. The identity of the victim could not be determined. Miscreants shot and killed Abdul Latif near Pahar Ganj.
Nasir Ahmed and Muhammad Sajid were wounded in a gun attack in New Karachi.
Meanwhile three terrorists belonging to a banned outfit were killed after an encounter with C.I.D police in Karachi on Wednesday.
CID inchareg Khurram Waris claimed the terrorists belonged to a banned outfit and were planning a big terrorist activity like the Peshawar school attack.
According to details, C.I.D police raided Norther Bypass on a tip off that some miscreants are meeting in the area for a terrorist activity. Terrorists opened fire at the police as soon as the law enforcement agency personnel reached there.
Khurram Waris said the terrorists have been identified as Gul Pir Khan, Noor Alam and Ameer Muhammad. They were involved in the killing of police, targeted and sectarian killing, extortion and kidnapping for ransom.
Police recovered three TT pistols, two grenade and IED device from the possession of the accused.
