ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday announced that the political party has decided to gather again on January 18 at Islamabad’s D-Chowk.
Imran Khan while addressing a press conference in Bani Gala said he would be “on streets with masses against vote rigging” if the government failed to form the judicial commission by January 18. He refused to reveal the details of his plan.
He alleged the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) was ignoring this matter. Imran announced that PTI leadership will gather in D-Chowk Islamabad on January 18 to announce their next strategy for getting justice.
He alleged that PML-N govt was continuously making delays in the JC formation. He claimed PML-N’s draft for JC had a point that tribunals’ decisions would not be challenged in the judicial commission (JC). During his press conference, Imran Khan also presented some evidence of alleged vote rigging before the media persons.
PTI joined the government-led All Parties Conference (APC) to remove every barrier for anti-terrorism war in the country as unity was the need of the hour, Imran said.
The political party accepted bitter decision for establishment of military courts through constitutional amendments despite severe concerns, he said.
Imran Khan reiterated his party’s stance, saying that PTI was firm for amendments t Army Act but the government insisted on amending the Constitution. However, the PTI accepted the bitter decision for two years, he said.
Answering a question, Imran Khan said that marriage was a Sunnah (the way of life) of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and not something to hide. He said that his London’s visit was actually to seek his sons’ point of view regarding his remarriage. He said he had delayed his second marriage for last 10 years due to his children. Imran vowed that he would make a pleasant announcement his week.
