KARACHI: Governor Sindh Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan on Monday assured victims of Timber Market blaze that government will construct houses to those who deprived of their homes to due to blaze.
The governor Sindh was talking to victims of Timber Market blaze on his visit to effected area on Monday.
He said that in first phase lists have been prepared for residents of the area who were affected by the blaze and in second phase, lists of commercial entities, traders and shop owners of the market will be prepared.
The governor also ensured the masses of the area that complete probe will be conducted for the blaze whether the fire was erupted or someone intentionally set the market on fire.
Ishrat also highlighted the measures which were taken by utility services like K-electric and Sui Northern Gas Company (SNGC) for the blaze victims which have announced that electric and gas dues will not be taken from the victims.
The governor informed the victims that the government will bulldoze 13 buildings which were badly affected by the blaze and construct new buildings on them.
He also said that work on five buildings have been started already and ensured the victims that the government will support them in every aspect.
