Islamabad’s SSP suspended on charges of releasing leader of banned outfit

ISLAMABAD: Interior Ministry on Thursday suspended Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) operations Islamabad Ismat Ullah Junejo over allegations that he released leader of banned outfit organization, local media reported.

The Ministry has directed him to report to establishment division.

The charge of the SSP operations has been given to SSP security Mir Daiz Niaz as additional charge.

It is pertinent to mention here that SSP Ismatullah Junejo, had gotten injured on September 1, first day of his new assignment as SSP operations along with his five colleagues in clash between PTI and PAT protesters with police.

The SSP Operations Asmatullah Junejo, had resumed charge after remaining under treatment for three weeks on September 22.
