After making its mark in India, the film has become highest grosser at the overseas box office as well.

And simultaneously it crossed the ₹100 crore mark at the overseas box office as well. In the highest grosser list, “PK” has grabbed the fourth position, pushing “Chennai Express” and “Happy New Year” to fifth and sixth positions, respectively.

The film is set to overtake the box office earnings of “Dhoom 3” at Australian collection centres and take the top spot.

The collections from the US-Canada and UAE-GCC have not been updated.

Meanwhile, Amrita Pandey, the VP and Head of Marketing and Distribution of Disney India, said that the distribution strategy worked in the favour of the film.

“The film has performed phenomenally well – and is now the highest grossing Hindi film ever in its first week in India, North America, Australia and many more. Most importantly, the movie has seen an unprecedented growth trajectory. The occupancy rates in most theatres all over have been very encouraging. We look forward to a long theatrical run for the movie!”.
