Sindh Govt bans pillion riding on New Year eve

KARACHI: Sindh government on Tuesday on advice of Karachi police announced to ban pillion riding on the occasion of New Year.

According to the details, the Sindh government has banned pillion riding on December 31 from early in the morning 6 am to next 24 hours.

It is pertinent to mention here that Karachi police had written a letter to home ministry to ban pillion riding for two days on occasion of New Year to ensure security in the metropolis.

As per Additional Inspector General Ghulam Qadir Thebo, he had recommended two days of pillion ridding ban on December 31 to January 1st 2015.

After request of Karachi police, the home security also announced to take stern actions against without silencer motorbikes, one wheeling and aerial firing.
