Pakistan seeks ‘uninterrupted power supply in 2015’

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif directed concerned authorities to ensuring uninterrupted power supply in the country in 2015.

PM Nawaz Sharif issued directions while chairing meeting of energy committee in Islamabad on Monday. He ordered related department to complete power projects within defined time.

During the meeting, PM was briefed about developments of ongoing power projects in the country. PM Nawaz said that all barriers in power projects must be removed at any cost.

He emphasized to import duty-free solar plants in the country which would help to reduce energy starve. He was also briefed over short-term and long-term power projects. PM Nawaz said that foreign investments in power sectors would be highly welcomed in the country.
