Wasim Akram becomes father of daughter

MELBOURNE: Former Pakistan cricket skipper Wasim Akram has become father of a daughter as her wife Shaniera gave birth a baby girl in Australian city of Melbourne, media reported.

According to the report, Wasim Akram wife who is a Australian citizen gave birth a baby girl in a hospital of Melbourne on Saturday.

Akram already has two sons, Taimur and Akber, from his previous marriage.

The former left-arm pacer married Melbourne-born Shaniera on August 12 last year, in an intimate ceremony in which only a few family members and close friends were invited.

Wasim has two sons from his first wife, Huma, whom he married back in 1995. Huma, unfortunately passed away in 2005 due to multiple organ failure.
