BANNU: An extremist reportedly killed by the security forces during a clash occurred in Bannu district of the Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province on Sunday.
Security sources claimed to kill an extremist during a fierce ground battle carried out Jani Khel area of the district on Sunday.
A group of extremists lodged attack on security forces amid curfew-like situation in the tribal area, however, rapid retaliation forced extremists to flee from the location.
No casualties were reported in the incident from security forces’ side while the affiliation of the attacking group not yet revealed.
According to reports, the clash started during a search operation conducted by the Pakistani forces.
