LAHORE: Winter vacations in Punjab private and government schools have been extended up to January 12 2015.
A press release issued by Punjab education department said that due to security concerns the winter vacations in all private and government schools have extended to January 12.
The education department also issued notification for schools that boundary walls of schools to be raised, recruitment of security guards for schools security and others measures to ensure security of schools in Punjab.
Earlier, Punjab government had announced winter vacations up to January 2.
 The all security measures for schools have been taken after brutal and barbaric attack at Peshawar’s Army Public School which killed 149 persons including 134 children.
