Nepra approves KE’s request for Rs 1.64 per unit reduction in power tariff  

ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) on Saturday approved a request of Karachi Electric Supply Company Limited (K-Electric or KE) to cut off power tariff of Rs 1.64/unit for the users K-Electric.

As per details, Nepra approved the request of K-Electric Company to reduce price of electricity by Rs 1.64/unit under the fuel adjustment of November month.
According to the officials, the overall fuel cost over the power production has been reduced to Rs 2 billion which would be helpful for the users.

Moreover, Nepra would conduct a formal hearing over the request of K-Electric on January 6.
