Draft of agreement between Govt-PTI ready for signs

ISLAMABAD: The final draft of agreement between Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) led government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been prepared and signatures by both parties are expected soon.

According to the sources, the copy of draft has been handed over to PTI and approval of the draft would be given in next sitting of dialogues. The terms of reference for high power Judicial Commission have been prepared as per the demands of PTI, sources said.
The sources have claimed that the demand of PTI regarding inclusion of ISI, MI, IB, FIA and Nadra officials in probe also has been accepted and Senator Isehaq Dar and Shah Mehmood Qureshi would sign the agreement on behalf of government and PTI respectively.
The signatures of ANP’s Senator Kulsoom Perveen and Rehman Malik also would be taken as political guarantors, sources said adding that after signing the agreement a Presidential Ordinance would be issued.
In light of the Ordinance a Judicial Commission (JC) comprising three judges of Supreme Court would be constituted and the main point of the agreement is regarding the 45 day’s time frame for completion of the investigation into the poll rigging issue, sources said adding that the report of the commission also would be made public.
The judicial commission would be empowered to form several probe committees for completion of the probe with in given time frame and the members of ISI, MI, IB, FIA and Nadra officials also would be included in the committees formed by JC.
It is worth mentioning here that PTI had been demanding probe into the alleged rigging in general elections held on May 11, 2013 and after a long sit in by PTI government and PTI have agreed to form JC for probe and a dialogue process has been started after a terrorists attack on Army Public School in Peshawar.
