Five suspected Taliban militants arrested in Balochistan

QUETTA: At least five suspected militants belonging to outlawed Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were arrested by Pakistani security forces on Tuesday in Balochistan province.

Security forces conducted a raid in Nassai area of Killa Saifullah district located in Balochistan and arrested the suspected TTP militants, local media reported.

The arrested persons were shifted to an undisclosed location where security forces were interrogating the alleged militants.

However, security forces have not disclosed the identity of the militants.

Large-scale operations against militants commenced and underway across Pakistan after deadly attacks of TTP insurgents carried out a military-run Army Public School – Peshawar which claimed at least 149 lives including children.
