LAHORE: Pakistan has executed four terrorists convicted in attack on former military president Pervez Musharraf, local media reported on Sunday.
Four more terrorists including Akhlas Ahmed alias Roosi (Russian), Ghulam Sarwar, Rashid Tipu, and Zubair Ahmed have been hanged till death at 3:35pm local time in Faisalabad district prison who attacked former military president Pervez Musharraf, Express News reported.
Doctors have confirmed death of the executed terrorists while the dead bodies will be sent to local police stations and later it would be handed over to the families.
Jail officials had reportedly received black warrants also called death warrants of four including Akhlas Ahmed alias Roosi (Russian), Ghulam Sarwar, Rashid Mehmood and Zubair Ahmed today.
Families of the terrorists were allowed to held last meeting in the prison cells before implementation of death penalties which is expected to be made on any moment on Sunday (today).
Few more executions would take place in Sukkur prison on Tuesday.
Earlier on Friday, Pakistan had executed two key culprits including Aqeel alias Dr Usman and Arshad Meherban who were involved in terror attacks on Pakistan Army’s General Headquarters (GHQ) and former military president Pervez Musharraf. On the same day, eight death warrants of convicts involved in different terrorism cases had been issued just after rejection of mercy appeals by President of Pakistan, Mamnoon Hussain.
