PTI workers burst into tears, stop Imran Khan’s car in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Following announcement of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday to end 126-day long sit-ins, several PTI workers including female activists were seen weeping on the protest site.

Imran Khan’s vehicle was stopped by some workers lost control over emotions after ending of almost four-month long sit-ins at D-Chowk of the federal capital Islamabad since August 14.

Few tearful workers on the spot were seen raising slogan in support of Imran Khan but surprisingly against the ending of PTI protests.

Imran-Khan

It is noteworthy to mention here that Imran Khan on Wednesday had announced to end his party’s 126-day long protest sit-in at Islamabad D-Chowk in the wake of the gory incident of Peshawar school attack that claimed 142 lives including 132 students.

Addressing the participants of the protest sit-in at D-Chowk in a somber mode, he said that after the Peshawar attack Prime Minister invited him to attend the APC.

“First I thought that i should not go to the APC given the high-handedness of the government and rough treatment meted out to us during the last four month of our protest movement. But, then it though that it was a national tragedy and the need of the hour is to get unite and raise above the political differences and attended the APC and give our input for countering terrorism,” he added.

He enumerated the successes of his party over four month long protest movement.
