‘COAS Raheel Sharif leaves for Afghanistan to discuss Peshawar carnage’

PESHAWAR: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has left the country to meet his counterpart and International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) commander in Afghanistan to discuss Peshawar carnage, PM Nawaz Sharif said on Wednesday.

Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif while addressing the All Parties Conference (APC) underway in Peshawar revealed that COAS Raheel Sharif has departed to Kabul to meet his counterpart and ISAF commander General John F. Campbell.

PM Nawaz said that the Afghan President Ashraf Ghani was contacted yesterday and demanded to take strict action against terrorists.

President Ashraf Ghani ensured maximum support to Pakistan as Afghan and Pakistan governments were on same page against terrorism.

PM Nawaz demanded fulfillment of the decisions finalised between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
