KABUL: Afghan leadership including President Ashraf Ghani and commanders of ISAF on Wednesday held out assurances to Pakistan Army Chief General Raheel Sharif that they would take action against the terrorists on Afghan soil.
The assurances came during Army chief meetings with them in Kabul on Wednesday, as General Raheel Shairf dashed to Kabul after the gory incident of Peshawar school attack that claimed 142 people including 132 students.
According to Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army chief held meetings with Afghan leadership and ISAF commanders during his one-day visit to Kabul. The Army chief was accompanied by Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) during the meeting.
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani assured the Army chief that Afghanistan would not allow anyone to use its soil against Pakistan, adding that after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in any part of the country they would take action.
