Australia smash Indian pride in third place match

BHUBANESWAR: Indian pride was buried in grave for Champions Trophy hockey 2014 as Australia defeated India in the third position match 2-1 here on Sunday.

Australia got lead over India in the 18th minute Aidi Okundun  but after 22 minutes India leveled the score through a penalty corner.

Australia  kept blue shirts in extreme pressure of the match and got the  decisive goal in the  fourth quarter and maintained its lead till the end.

The Indians continued their crazy aggressive behaviour on Sunday as an Indian player attacked an Australian player during third position match.

The Australian hockey player was speedily going towards D to score goal tackling with Indian players. He collided with an Indian player, who then started a scuffle with the Australian player and shoved him.

It is pertinent to mention here that on Sunday International Hockey Federation (FIH) banned two Pakistani players just for celebrating their win against India. Reportedly FIH took the decision after threats of India not to host any event of IHF in future.
