BHUBANESWAR: Olympic champions Germany qualified for final of the Champions Trophy hockey tournament on Saturday as it beat five-time defending champions Australia 3-2.

Germany scored two first-quarter goals through Timur Oruz and Mats Grambusch.

Florian Fuchs made it 3-0 off a penalty corner for the German team.

The Kookaburras’ goals came through Chris Ciriello and Nicholas Budgeon off penalty corners.
