Karachi lockdown: PTI works out plan to stage sit-ins at 25 spots

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) local leadership on Thursday worked out a plan to implement its call for lock-down of port city of the country, Karachi,  under which the party would stage sit-in protest at at least 25 spots.

According to PTI sources, the sit-ins will be led by local and provincial leaders of the party.

Under the Plan-C of the ongoing anti-government movement, the PTI had called for shut down of three major cities of the country including Faisalabad, Karachi and Lahore followed by countrywide shut-down on December 18.



PTI chairman would arrive the metropolis of Pakistan at 12:00noon, spokespersons said.

PTI spokesperson Najeeb Haroon announced the names of leaders who would led the public rallies in order to choke major entrance and exit spots to hold a shutter-down strike in Karachi.

1. Asad Umer would lead PTI rally at Nursery.

2. Arif Alvi at Kala Pul.

3. Naz Baloch at Sher Shah.

4. Azam Swati National Highway.

5.  Firdous Naqvi at Numaish.

6. Ali Zaidi at Hassan Square.

7. Hafiz Uddin at Sohrab Goth.

8. Najeeb Haroon at Five Star Chawrangi.

9. Firdous Naqvi at Numaish Chowk.

10. Samar Khan and Subhan Ali at Neti Jeti area.

11. Imran Ismail and Ashraf Qureshi at Star Gate.
