Umpire wrong decisions cause defeat in Blind World Cup final

LAHORE: Pakistan blind cricket team skipper Zeeshan Abbassi on Wednesday said that umpires wrong decision caused the team defeat in world cup final.

He was talking to media after returning to the country at the airport, the skipper said that the team performed outstandingly in whole of the tournament and continued its performance against arch rival India in the final match but in last five over the match changed due to the umpire wrong decisions.

Zeeshan said that the team was ashamed of defeat and seek apology from the nation adding that they could win the final if umpire decisions were right.

It is pertinent to mention here that the blind team had scored 389 runs in 40 overs match in the world cup final played in Cape Town South Africa and Indian team achieved the target in 39.4 overs.
