Nine more children die in Thar, death toll reaches 172

THAR: As many as nine more toddlers died on Wednesday in drought hit Thar in Sindh and overall death toll in last two months reached 172.

According to details on Wednesday nine infants in desert areas of Thar were died and death figure crossed 20 in just last two days.

While total 172 children mostly toddlers have been died for last two months in drought hit Thar.

A rescue team comprising of 200 doctors from Liaqut Medical University on Wednesday reached Mithi which will set up medical camp in drought hit areas.

Dr Noshad who was leading the team said that due to malnutrition children deaths were increasing.
