ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief (PTI) Imran Khan on Monday lashed out at Pakistan Muslim League for what he said resorting to Gulluism to suppress peaceful protest of PTI in Faisalabad.
Talking to media at his Bani Gala residence, he said that he was going to Faisalabad to address the protesting PTI workers, saying that after reaching Faisalabad he would go straight away to Police Station to register the FIR of his worker murder.
He said that in democracy, peaceful protest was everyone’s right and it was state responsibility to protect peaceful protest, but PML-N government instead of protecting PTI peaceful protest let loose its Gullus over the PTI workers.
He challenged the government to face him in Lahore, saying that PTI would contend what he said government terrorism in Lahore.
He said that PTI had not forced anyone to shut down their shop or business, rather it appealed to all sections of the society to support PTI’s just cause and force the government to carry out audit of vote fraud and malpractices in last general elections.
The PTI chief said that their only sin was that they were demanding justice. He said that police instead of protecting peaceful protesters acted as silent spectator.
He questioned that where the PML-N ‘Gullus’ were when Nawaz Sharif was sent back to Saudi Arabia during Musharraf era. “These ‘Gullus’ only resort to vandalism under police vandalism,” he added.
