PM Nawaz, CM Shahbaz discuss political situation of Pakistan

LAHORE: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif had a meeting in Raiwind, Lahore on Sunday.

Prime Minister said that Imran Khan is promoting politics of agitation whereas we don’t want to indulge in it. PMLN workers believe in peace, he said.

The meeting took place in Jati Umra in the Raiwind area of Lahore where Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif discussed the protest rally of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) going to be held in Faisalabad on December 8.

Nawaz Sharif said that Imran Khan is promoting politics of agitation whereas PML-N is peaceful.



PM affirmed that the PML-N workers have been advised to remain peaceful and hence, will not participate in politics of agitation or violence.

He also remarked that nobody would be given the right to take law into their hands. However, action would be taken against the violators. Shahbaz Sharif briefed the prime minister regarding government strategy regarding PTI protest in Faisalabad.

Meanwhile Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif returned home after his week-long official visit to Britain.

During the stay, the Prime Minister held bilateral meetings with the British Prime Minister David Cameron, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, US Secretary of State John Kerry, the Prince of Wales and Prince Karim Aga Khan.

The Prime Minister also held meetings with senior officials of the World Bank besides British ministers.

The aim of the Prime Minister’s visit was to attend the London Conference on Afghanistan.
