England outclass Pakistan in champions trophy hockey match

BHUBANESWAR: England defeated Pakistan by 8-2 in champions trophy match on Sunday.

The match was played in Indian city of Bhubaneswar, capital of Orissa state.

England from start got grip on the match and until last the match remained one sided. The goals for England were scored by Mark Gleghorne, Nick Catlin, David Condon, Barry Middleton, Ashley Jackson, Sam Ward, Alastair Brogdon and Chris Griffiths.

From Pakistani side Mohmmad Arsalan Qadir and Irfan scored goals.

Until the fourth quarter England were leading 7-0. Pakistan were able to score two goals in the last quarter.

It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan also lost their first match against Belgium by 1-2.
