ISLAMABAD: US media said that a key Al-Qaeda commander was killed in Sunday’s (today) drone attack which was carried out at a house in Datta Khail area of North Waziristan.
The US media said that the Al-Qaeda commander Umar Farooq was killed in the attack. He was believed to be in charge of Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The commander belonged to Nigeria.
Earlier in the day as many as four people were killed on Sunday in a US drone attack in North Waziristan area of Data Khail.

The US spy drone plane targeted a house with two missiles in Data Khail area of NW Killing four persons and injuring two others.
The Government of Pakistan had condemned the United States’ last drone strike in November that took place at North Waziristan tribal agency of northern Pakistan bordering Afghanistan.
