Alarming health situation: 15 thalassemic kids turn HIV positive in Punjab

LAHORE: It has revealed that as many as 15 children of thalassemia disease  found positive for HIV aids.

According to the sources, the positive test of HIV  aids in the children were result of unscreened blood transfusion to the children.

Out of 15 children seven belonged to Lahore and rest of them Islamabad residents.

It is pertinent to mention that thalassmia patient needs blood transfusion with regular interval of time.

Thalassemia foundation of Pakistan has decided to screening of all patients suffering from the disease after the positive test of HIV in the children.

Who would be the responsible of the incident that already ill patients got another incurable disease due to negligence of health officials.
