Suspected Ebola patient admitted to PIMS

ISLAMABAD:  A suspected Ebola virus patient was admitted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital’s isolation ward.

According to Pims spokesperson, the patient hailing from Chakwal was brought to Pims on Tuesday, where he was admitted to isolation ward.

The spokesperson said that the patients had symptoms similar to that of Ebola virus and his test were sent for screening.  She said that the condition of the patient was stable and he would be discharged within two to three days.

She further said that the patient had come to Pakistan a month ago from Uganda.
