WASHINGTON: As HTC is preparing to launch its flagship smartphone HTC One (M9), now just at the end of the year device’s specs leaked online.
According to reports, company’s next-generation flagship smartphone from HTC is not schedule to launch for a few months, but some of its specs and features popped up already.
The HTC One M8 is one of the most impressive device this year while HTC flagship smartphone of 2015 is not expected for another three or four months, a new report now claims.
The report also have some information about the device’s specifications about HTC One M9. At the same time, the report also seems to bolster speculation that the company would also launch a Prime variant of its 2015 flagship.
As Chinese publication MyDrivers recon the next HTC One will boast a massive 5.5-inch display with a QHD (2K) resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and rock a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor and 3GB of RAM.
A large 3,500 mAh battery will power it all up. The publication also notes that the purported HTC One M9 will come with a 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), which would mean that HTC will no longer include its UltraPixel technology in its next flagship smartphone.
The leaked report also mentions a new aluminum silicon-carbide composite for the smartphone’s body for HTC One M9 as well as change in design as well.
The report also mentions a HTC One M9 Prime variant, but it remains unclear at this point just what upgrades it would sport over the regular M9 version.
HTC is expected to take the wraps off its next-generation flagship smartphone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 in early March, and more information will most likely surface closer to the event.
