PTI rally: Section 144 imposed, pillion riding banned in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD:  The government on Saturday announced to impose Section 144 in the federal capital and subsequently banning pillion ridding during the day, as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is all set to show its political strength in its bid to oust the incumbent government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). According to private Express News TV, the local administration has imposed Section 144 in the federal capital which will be effective from 12:00 am on Saturday night in the wake of PTI public rally during the day.

The administration also banned pillion riding and media coverage of the rally through helicam cameras.

Though Section 144 will be in place during the day, the PTI supporters and workers will be allowed to converge on Parade Avenue for the rally.
