LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) and Majlis Wehdat-ul-Muslimeen (MWM) on Saturday announced not to participate Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) rally scheduled for Sunday in the federal capital.
A joint meeting of the leaders of the three parties was held in Lahore, wherein they discussed the PTI’s invitation extended to them to attend the Nov 30 rally in Islamabad.
After thorough deliberations, the leadership of the three parties decided not to attend the rally. They were of the opinion that PTI did not brief them about the motives of its public meeting.
Talking to media after the meeting, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur of PAT said that they were thankful to PTI for the invitation, but it was not possible for them to participate in the rally.
He said that the PTI did not elaborate to them the motives and objectives of its scheduled Nov 30 rally.
Gandapu further said that they were ready to co-operate with the PTI, but its was not possible for them to practically participate in PTI’s Islamabad show.
It is to be mentioned here that PTI is going to hold a grand pubic meeting in Islamabad tomorrow in its its ongoing push to oust the incumbent PML-N government headed by Nawaz Sharif, questioning its legitimacy.
